Beaded Cable Ties - Details
Beaded cable ties provide an easy method of securing bundles under conditions where bundle requirements may change. The positive-locking key head secures quickly to bundle wires tightly, and releases easily to add wires or re-route. They can be re-used almost indefinitely.
Because they can be re-used, beaded cable ties are very useful for application like temporary routing or route planning. They can hold bundles until the run is completed, and then be replaced by permanent cable-ties if desired. Beaded ties are also commonly used for tagging opereations such as color-coding or attaching ID plates. They may be used to tag bundles that are already secured by standard ties. Beaded Cable-ties can be cut to any length without affecting use.
Beaded cable-ties are offered in two standard materials, Type66 nylon and low-density polyethylene.
Polyethylene is a soft, flexible material that retains its flexibility in a wider range of environmental conditions than Type66 nylon, which has greater strength. Beads are spaced from 1/8"-1/4" apart for secure wrapping of bundles, without hampering tie flexibility. Designed for safe, comfortable installation, the smooth, round beads will not abrade insulation. Beaded cable-ties come in 8 sizes to accommodate bundle diameters from 7/8"-5" maximum. Bead diameter range from 3/32"-1/8".
