Mounting Bases for Cable Ties - Details

All-States mounting bases, used with cable ties, provide an easy, durable method for routing and securing wire bundles or cables. Three types of mounts, including adhesive-backed, screw-mount, and push-mount cover all sizes of regular and beaded ties, for light and heavy-duty applications.
All mounting bases are one-piece, injections-molded and have radiused edges for wire protection and safe, comfortable handling. They exceed the breaking strength of the ties used in them, when adequately anchored. Adhesive-backed bases are not recommended for outdoor use without fasteners.

Adhesive Information

Adhesive Mounts
Models ABM-2 & ABM-4 Adhesive-Backed Mounting Bases have two-way and four-way entry, respectively. Model ABM-4 features easy installation, since there are two possibilities for correct orientation to the wire bundle. Both models have saddle design for added support of wire bundles or components. When used with a screw or rivet for extra holding strength, the countersunk hole does not interfere with insertion or cause damage to the tie. The low-profile height allows use in vertically tight areas. They accept standard and smaller cross-section ties. The ABM-2 and ABM-4 are not recommended for outdoor applications unless double secured with a screw or rivet.

ABM-2
ABM-4
Model ABMM-4 Adhesive-backed mounting bases a "mini" mount especially for uses where mounting space and height are limited. The ABMM-4 is not recommended for outdoor applications. The mini-mount has four way entry and accepts Intermediate, Compact, and Miniature cross-section ties.

ABMM-4
Model ABM-1 Adhesive-Backed Mounting base has four-way entry with rounded openings to accept all sizes of All-States beaded cable ties. It also accepts regular cable ties for Miniature through Intermediate cross-sections.

Screw Mount
Model SM-2 and SM-4 Screw Mounting Bases have two-way and four-way entry, respectively. Model SM-4 features easy two-way orientation installation. Both models have a saddle design for added bundle support. The countersunk hole insures that the screw or rivet does not interfere with cable tie insertion, or damage the tie. These mounts have a low-profile height for use where height is limited. The SM-2 and SM-4 accept Standard and smaller cross-sectioned ties.

Models SM-10, SM-25, and SM-68 Screw Mounting Bases feature two-way entry, and a deep cradle design to provide extra support for large bundles and many components. Narrower and higher than the other screw mounts, they are especially useful in crowded surface areas. They are structurally designed to exceed maximum cable-tie installation tension. Models SM-10 and SM-25 have 5/8" x 7/8" rectangular bases and accept all cross-sections of All-States ties, from Miniature through Heavy-Duty. Model SM-68 has a 3/8" x 5/8" base, and accepts standard and smaller ties. Model SM-10 has a 10 hole and accepts Miniature through 120 lb. Heavy-duty ties. SM-25 has a ¼" hole and accepts Miniature through 175 lb. Heavy-Duty ties. Model SM-68 has an 8 hole and accepts Miniature through Standard ties.

Model PM-1 Push-Mount base installs by snapping into any Standard ¼" hole. Centering ears and locking barb design hold it securely in place. Heavy-Duty compensatory spring arm accommodate chassis/panel thickness up to 7/64" and holes securely. The push-mount mounting base has a small head for crowded surface areas and uses Standard and smaller cross-section ties.

Adhesives:
All-States uses only the highest quality brand name adhesives. Adhesive-backed mounting bases are intended for attaching to clean, dry, metal, plastic, glass, paper, and printed surfaces. Our standard rubber-based adhesive is an economical choice for general-purpose applications. It provides high initial tack and quickly reaches maximum holding strength. It will hold under continuous temperatures up to 125 degrees F (52 degrees C).

The continuous straight-pull rated load of rubber-based adhesives is .50 lbs. per square inch of adhesive.

Acrylic-based adhesive is also available for greater holding power and/or higher temperature applications, up to continuous temperatures of 185 degrees F (85 degrees C). It is intended for use with the same clean, dry, surfaces as rubber-based adhesive. Its continuous straight-pull rated load is 1 lb. per square inch of adhesive.

Adhesive-backed mounting bases are not recommended for concrete, bare wood, or other porous or irregular surfaces.
